For Insiders, this means an end to updates if they choose. Users can use 16299.15 to perform a clean install on their devices, but ISOs aren’t yet available. This means you’ll either have to make one yourself or wait. However, if you just want to leave the Insider Program, there are other methods. leave the Insider Program by visiting Update and Security>Windows Insider Program>Stop Insider Preview builds. A better idea, however, may be to move to the Release Preview Ring, where you’ll still get early cumulative and app updates. Of course, there’s still two weeks before the official release of the Fall Creator’s Update, so Microsoft will use the time to fix any minor bugs left. Those fixes should come in the form of cumulative updates to users on this build.

Redstone 4 and Skip Ahead

Those who decide not to jump off the Insider Fast Ring will be enrolled automatically into Redstone 4 development. This means the end of the ‘Skip Ahead’ ring, which let a limited amount of users to preview the next update. Instead, both rings are expected to merge, but Skip Ahead users won’t need to make any changes. They should move automatically to the Fast Ring. Now that Redstone 3 is out of the way there will be faster progress for new features, which will likely include the following:

More Fluent Design additions, including in the Windows Shell Timeline, allowing for an easy look at recent apps and documents Cloud Clipboard to copy text between devices Improvements to My People Tabs in File Explorer (still in testing) More Story Remix Features Pen and Ink improvements

In short, it should be one of the biggest leaps yet, and there’s sure to be more we don’t know about. We don’t have an official release date yet, but it will probably release to the public until March 2018.
