OneDrive is Microsoft’s cloud storage competitor to Google Drive and Dropbox. It allows users to store and share content like files, documents, photos and more from a Windows 10 PC or phone. In terms of version 17.30.3.0, the app now supports previewing of files. Users can check file contents in preview without having to open the folder. Out of the gate, the feature is well stocked with support for over 100 filetypes. As always, Microsoft has also made some general improvements and squashed some unnamed bugs. OneDrive Popularity
Back in May, we reported on the growing popularity of OneDrive in the enterprise market. Indeed, the service is comfortably the most popular cloud storage service. Spiceworks quizzed 544 North American and European businesses on their cloud storage and found Microsoft’s had a 51% share. 6% plan to deploy OneDrive in the next sixth months. Its closest competitors are Google Drive and Dropbox, which both sit at 34%.
