What this article says it that Microsoft wants its partners to release compatible drivers for Windows 11 by “September 24”: “Partners looking to achieve compatibility for systems shipping with Windows 11, version 21H2 Release may factory-install drivers for components that achieved compatibility with Windows 10, version 2004 until September 24, 2021.” As those driver compatibility updates will come before that date, it seems Microsoft is scheduling September 24 as the day is finalizes the Windows 11 preview for launch.
