The company is embarking on a multiyear project to build a campus on the west side of Atlanta. While the project will generate jobs and an economy, Microsoft says it also wants to create a base that is sustainable and has an enduring impact on the area. Microsoft’s plans include office space for the company, but also public access areas and infrastructure. For example, Microsoft is working with Atlanta-based architecture firm Cooper Cary alongside APD Urban Planning and Management, market research company Noell Consulting Group, and sustainability expert Transsolar.

Furthermore, community developers within Integral Group will provide advice on real estate impact, while JLL will oversee the program management. Microsoft says it will also create a community advisory council to work with its planning team. The group will represent Microsoft and these local stakeholders:
